University of South Carolina Upstate Herbarium (USCS)

The herbarium at the University of South Carolina Upstate (formerly University of South Carolina Spartanburg) houses a collection of bryophytes and vascular plants with a focus on the Piedmont region of South Carolina. The collection was begun in the 1970s and most specimen were collected by or under the supervision of Dr. Gillian Newberry.
