Lower slopes highly eroded, with annual weeds and some shrubs, most of which flower June-August. Middle and upper slopes: juniper forest dominant, with wild maguey, barrel cactus, prickly pear cactus, and bunch grasses. Oak remnants only within barrancas. Only a dozen large pines scattered on N slope of hill. Portions of upper slopes covered by low, scrubby oak (tresmole), forming extensive thickets, 0.5 to 1 m high, these apparently coming in after fires. Some madroño mixed with juniper on upper slopes.
