Locality: United States, North Carolina, Wake, Durant Nature Park, Raleigh. Shallow margin of Camp Durant Lake #1 on a sandy beach, partially under a large bald cypress tree. Area is adjacent to the large boat dock.

Habitat: Camp Durant Lake #1 has a stable water level and does not have a visible silting problem, so remains fairly clear and clean. Marsilea colony is in shallow water and on land at the water's edge. Population size is about a thousand plants.
Associated Species: Hydrilla sp., Hydrocotyle sp., Pondweed (possibly Potamogeton sp.)
