Description: Locally abundant; near type locality for Cereus engelmannii Parry ex Engelmann var. variegatus Engelmann and J. M. Bigelow; early flower photographed 23 March 2010 from individual transplanted to cold-frame, Chino Valley, Arizona; n=22 during meiosis of microgametogenesis.
