This is a prime example of the mixing that seems to be going on between Carex alma and C. chihuahuensis. It has the narrower leaves of C. chihuahuensis, the broader inflorescence of C. alma, and most of the perigynia are acute (as in C. alma), rather than acuminate (as in C. Chihuahuensis).
