Occasional, small clone of a few pups nearby, leaves dried, tan, flower stalk ca 6-2/3 m tall, inflorescence paniculate, the lateral branches 30-32, perpendicular to flower stalk, down ca 1/2 of flower stalk, flowers opened and measured 29 May 2017, with tepals erect, somewhat clasping, much nectar at 11 am, tepal lobes soon wilting, conduplicate, ovary dark green flushed with purple-maroon, neck lighter, tube light green-yellow with very faint maroon, outer tepal lobes dark yellow-light green, darker towards apices, tips brown, white fuzzy within, inner tepals light green-yellow, keel darker tannish, filaments, style chartreuse, anthers yellow; flower measurements after Gentry (1982) in mm: tl=61, o=27x8.8, n=5, tu=8(h)x16.5(w), fil ins=6, 6.5, fil=48, a=20 (beginning anthesis), outer tepal=23x6.5(base), 2.5(mid), inner tepal=22x7.5(base), 3(mid), sty=30, pedicel 6.5 mm long.
