Very shrubby lakeside fen. Mostly sedge meadow and wooded fen. Dominant vegetation includes Carex stricta, C. hystericina, Rosa, Frangula alnus, Larix laricina, Toxicodendron vernix, and Symphylotrichum firmum. Invaded by Phalaris arundinacea, Frangula alnus, and Rosa multiflora. Some boggy areas in the northeast. Drosera rotundifolia were found on Sphagnum hummocks in wooded fen. In southern section, ATV or truck activity, in open sedge meadow. Possible hunting site. In central prairie fen, 250m west of Riker Lake, 500m north of southern border, 150m northeast of Typha pond. Wooded prairie fen along duckweed filled stream (1m wide). Area dominated by Carex and Asteraceae with moderately dense shrubs including Toxicodendron vernix, Cornus, and Betula pumila. Ground bouncy mat, less stable near stream.
