Very shrubby lakeside fen. Mostly sedge meadow and wooded fen. Dominant vegetation includes Carex stricta, C. hystericina, Rosa, Frangula alnus, Larix laricina, Toxicodendron vernix, and Symphylotrichum firmum. Invaded by Phalaris arundinacea, Frangula alnus, and Rosa multiflora. Some boggy areas in the northeast. Drosera rotundifolia were found on Sphagnum hummocks in wooded fen. In southern section, ATV or truck activity, in open sedge meadow. Possible hunting site. In south-central portion of prairie fen, 100m east of Riker Lake, 50m west of Eleocharis mat/stream with dense Frangula alnus cover, 20m east of a 10m tall live Larix laricina and dead L. laricina. Area dominated by Asteraceae, F. alnus, Cornus foemina, and Rosaceae. Dense shrubs 1-2m tall with tall shrubs every 4-9m2. Ground hummocky and moist.
Population - Occasional in immediate area. Mostly branching. Some blooming to the south.
