Very shrubby lakeside fen. Mostly sedge meadow and wooded fen. Dominant vegetation includes Carex stricta, C. hystericina, Rosa, Frangula alnus, Larix laricina, Toxicodendron vernix, and Symphylotrichum firmum. Invaded by Phalaris arundinacea, Frangula alnus, and Rosa multiflora. Some boggy areas in the northeast. Drosera rotundifolia were found on Sphagnum hummocks in wooded fen. In southern section, ATV or truck activity, in open sedge meadow. Possible hunting site. In northwestern portion of prairie fen, 10m south of dense line of Larix laricina, 8m east of 15m tall L. laricina, 40m west of boardwalk. Area of L. laricina saplings, Poaceae, and Dasiphora fruticosa. Heavily infested with Typha angustifolia. Ground mostly level and wet to moist.
Population - Dominant in area. Many shrubs flowering.
