Bordered on north by woodland as well as on southern edge, but southern edge has a railroad and nearby row-crop agriculture. Typhaspp. appear to be heavily impacting fen. Carex stricta and Cornus sericea dominated area; many of the C. sericea shrubs dead in area. Other species include Solidago altissima, Typha latifolia, Maianthemum stellatum, Symphyotrichum puniceum, and Mentha canadensis. About 80m north of railroad track and about 40m east of powerline. Ground moist but not inundated.
