Mostly open prairie fen with strong prairie component. Bisected by Little Goose Creek. Some large swaths of Frangula alnus being treated by Michigan Nature Association. Weedy areas develop further downstream where fen narrows. Highly variable in regards to health of fen with some patches appearing pristine and other complet Phragmites australis stands. Private property is being heavily encroached by shrubs and turning the high quality fen into a patchwork of degraded/healthy fen. Mounded prairie fen with abundant prairie species with some Frangula alnus encroachment; common species in area include Dasiphora fruticosa, Andropogon gerardii. Doellingeria umbellata, and Rudbeckia fulgida. Ground moist but not inundated; on edge of heavier shrub encroachment.
