Mostly open prairie fen with strong prairie component. Bisected by Little Goose Creek. Some large swaths of Frangula alnus being treated by Michigan Nature Association. Weedy areas develop further downstream where fen narrows. Highly variable in regards to health of fen with some patches appearing pristine and other complet Phragmites australis stands. Private property is being heavily encroached by shrubs and turning the high quality fen into a patchwork of degraded/healthy fen. Shrub encroached sedge meadow; Frangula alnus and Cornus spp. Dominate. Thelypteris, Calystegia sepium abundant. Ground moist but not inundated; Typha angustifolia in area; especially to the North.
