Lakeside prairie fen around Braxee Lake and smaller Little Braxee Lake to the east. Sedge and Dasiphora fruticosa dominant with Salix, Cornus, and Toxicodendron vernix shrubs. Dense stands of Typha with moderately deep water separate fen on north side of Braxee Lake. Heron rookeries (old bog and current rookery) border the north side of fen. Invaded with Typha angustifolia, Phalaris arundinacea, Phragmites australis, and Lythrum salicaria. In small prairie fen section on the southwest side of Braxee Lake, 100m south of Steven's dock, 2m west of lake between 2 Toxicodendron vernix tree. Area dominated by Cyperaceae, Poaceae, Typha and shrubs of Cornus, Salix, and T. vernix. Standing water in area. Invasion by Lythrum salicaria.
Population - Somewhat common, not dominant. Seen scaling Cyperaceae. Not flower or fruiting in area.
