Fen on county and private land and managed by The Nature Conservancy. Grand River travels through center of fen (4m wide). Near river area dominated by Cyperaceae, Typha, and Dasiphora fruticosa; shrubs of Rubus and Cornus near woodland upland edges. In southern portion of fen, south of Grand River, 25m south of small stream, 100m North of Scott Weaver's property, 10m east of brushy Cornus and Rubus briar. Area dominated by Carex stricta and Symplocarpus foetidus. Some shrubs include Toxicodendron vernix, Cornus, and Rubus. Shrubs not dense in immediate 30m2. Ground very hummocky and wet.
