Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Wooded fen dominated by Toxicodendron vernix, Cornus sericea, and Populus tremuloides. Ground very moist. Fairly diverse herbaceous later with Onoclea sensibilis, Solidago patula, Symphyotrichum lateriflorum, S. puniceum, Galium asprellum, and Carex aquatilis.
