Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Carex aquatilis and Agrostis gigantea dominated area on bank of stream. Currently flooded due to heavy rains. Other species include Glyceria striata, Impatiens capensis, Sagittaria latifolia, Rumex orbiculatus, and Typha latifolia. Ground inundated.
