Fen dominated by Carex stricta and Typha. Many Cornus and Toxicodendron vernix shrubs too. The ground is hummocky and wet. There is a lake at the center. The fen is surrounded mostly by trees and forest swamp or upland. In northwest portion of fen, 30m from western border and 60m from wooded peninsula. Area dominated by Carex stricta and Lythrum salicaria. Hums with bee activity. Tussocks 30-45cm tall but now dry in between, unlike June when it was covered in water. Ground dry to slightly moist, white powder on top.
Population - 3-12 per 1m2 for 50m2. Lost of pollinators in area.
