Prairie fen runs along Spring Mill Creek. Edges are wooded with oaks. Horribly overgrown with many large areas that were marked as fen, now dense shrub carr. On woodland edge (northern border of fen). I can hear the bike trail that runs past. 90m west of road. Area is very hummocky (30-40cm tall) with Carex and a lot of shrubs (1-1.5m tall) Cornus and Toxicodendron vernix mostly, some Salix. Ground spongy, bouncy, and wet; some puddles form in footsteps. No standing water in quadrat.
Population - Mostly on Spiraea alba, no fruits, flowers, or tendrical discs.
