Small fen dominated by Carex. Several shrub zones of Cornus and a large wooded zone of Tamarack, Cornus, and poplur. Autumn olive encroaching on edges and some within fen on northern side. Nirdlingers maintain surrounding prairie. Homeowner to north manacures land in the lawn fashion to the edge of his property. 100m northeast of wood marsh area; 200m south of red barn; 15m from stand of 4 tamaracks and 3m tall aspens. More shrubby area with at least the starting of a shrub every m2. Dominant vegetation is Carex, grasses, Salix, and Cornus. Ground is moist but not wet, hummocky but not severe.
Population - In quadrat mixed with another Carex and grass. Few are flowering, found in between Cornus.
