Small fen dominated by Carex. Several shrub zones of Cornus and a large wooded zone of Tamarack, Cornus, and poplur. Autumn olive encroaching on edges and some within fen on northern side. Nirdlingers maintain surrounding prairie. Homeowner to north manacures land in the lawn fashion to the edge of his property. Southern and eastern portion of fen. Near wooded fen, but in sedge/Asteraceae meadow. Ground uneven, 80m south of large Salix tree. Area dominated by Carex, Asteraceae, and Rubus with shrub layer of Toxicodendron vernix, Cornus, and Salix. One shrub every 4-9m2. Ground muddy.
Population - Shrubs between 1-2m tall, more near shrubby edges. Associated with Toxicodendron vernix, Carex, and Rubus. Pith white but not Cornus sericea.
