A railroad (currently used andmaintained), runs almost the entire length. Within 20m on either side of the tracks is almost all herbaceous (weedy but diverse). Further from tracks there are many tamarack trees and shrubs including some autumn olive. About 50m north of railroad, 40m east of "W" sign on railroad. Typha stand with Carex and Eutrochium maculatum dominant. A woody patch of Frangula alnus, Rhamnus alnifolia, Populus, and tamarack to the east (5m). Ground +/- even, moist to wet.
Population - 0.5-3m tall. Taller with blue-white berries.
