E exposure and ridge top, red shale and white sandstone, old burn w/ Juniperus osteosperma and Quercus gambelii grading above on sandstone Juniperus osteosperma-Amelanchier-Ephedra; juniper-serviceberry. Elev. 5800-6700 ft.
