Habitat: Fen on county and private land and managed by The Nature Conservancy. Grand River travels through center of fen (4m wide). Near river area dominated by Cyperaceae, Typha, and Dasiphora fruticosa; shrubs of Rubus and Cornus near woodland upland edges. In open prairie fen, 5m from western wooded border, 500m west from Jerry Buck's farm, on west side of Grand River. Area dominated by Cyperaceae with Dasiphora fruticosa and some Typha. Shrubs and tamarack trees 1 per 4m2 but density increases towards woodland border. Ground with small hummocks, standing water in area.
Description: Flower - white, small, umbelPopulation - common, widespread, but not dense, 0-5 per 1m2 for 30m2, associated with Solidago ohioensis, Carex diandra, and Carex sterilis on wet soil.
